Scott Storch - Storch Wanted By Police

Producer SCOTT STORCH is wanted by Florida authorities over his spiralling debt problems - they've issued an arrest warrant for the star after he failed to show for a recent child support court hearing.

The Lean Back beatmaker is currently being sued by his ex-girlfriend Dalene Daniel for late child support payments for their son Jalen, two.

The two parties were due to appear at a court in Miami-Dade earlier this month (Jun08), but Storch didn't turn up.

And his no-show has prompted Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Marc Schumacher to issue a pick-up order, giving cops the permission to arrest and jail the star until he can be brought to court.

The order, known as a "writ of bodily attachment", reads: "You are hereby commanded to take into your custody Scott Spencer Storch."

Meanwhile, Storch has also been hit with another paternity suit. Vanessa Bellido claims Storch is the "natural father" of her 16-year-old son Steven Brandon Bellido. She alleges Storch accepted he was his son and sent money voluntarily to help them cope.

However, the payments stopped in January (08) and now Bellido is struggling to make ends meet.

But Storch's lawyer, Guy Spielgelman, insists the producer is refinancing his home to try and settle his financial shortfalls.

He says, "'He intends to honour all of his obligations. He was a victim of mismanagement of his business enterprises, resulting in his current predicament.''

Storch, who has worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles, Mariah Carey and Dr. Dre, has been plagued by rumours of financial difficulty for months.

He is also alleged to have fallen two years behind on property taxes amounting to $511,839 (GBP255,919) for his $10.5 million (GBP5.25 million) home on Palm Island in Miami Beach, and back in February (08), he was ordered to pay back more than $500,000 (GBP250,000) to a record label boss after reneging on a loan deal.

Lichens was the solo improv project of Chicago composer Robert Lowe, antecedently known as the bassist with artistry stone combo 90 Day Men. A product of the Kansas City country, Lowe signed on with 90 Day Men in 1996, only prior to their relocation from St. Louis to Chicago; when the grouping went on hiatus following a European circuit supporting its 2004 disc Panda Park, Lowe channeled his energies into his long-simmering solo pursuits, appearance as Lichens at that summer's Arthur magazine-sponsored Million Tongues Festival and self-releasing a limited edition CD-R, R. Brown. Looping wordless vocals and avant-folk fingerpicking to create otherworldly sheets of deep-listening drone pipe, Lowe before long charmed the attention of Kranky Records co-owner Bruce Adams, and in the autumn of 2005 the tag released Lichens' official debut, The Psychic Nature of Being.
